We had breakfast at Bryce Canyon Pines hotel, at an elevation 7777 feet. We had a plan to go back to Bryce, but we overheard advice about great places in Zion and our waitress said there is a slot Canyon where the locals go. The wonderful thing about traveling as a family keen to do stuff is the chance to get more done. More of that in a minute, my big blunder in planning the trip was not booking a White House tour. They must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance. I didn't find that out until 10 days to go. So we saw the White House from outside on a few occasions, day and night. Anyway, back to today...
