The last week or so has been decidedly eventful. We both have all of our visas. (YAY!) I had to go for a chest X-ray before Australia would grant me a working holiday visa. (I'm not sick or dying, good to know). We have a shipping company that is moving our stuff to Aus for us - they arrive next Thursday. We've already *trial* packed our bags to see how much stuff we can take (or rather, can't take), started collating things in a room downstairs, listed things we aren't taking on eBay, and washed everything else. (Which includes putting Edd's tools in the dishwasher and scrubbing the bottoms of our shoes with steel wool). Where there is a will, there is a way.

We're starting to get quite excited as our leaving date looms ever closer... We have our engagement and leaving party this Saturday, Edd finishes working next Wednesday and I have spent the last few days collating proof of our relationship for our working visa for Aus. It's quite astonishing the things you realise you have (or don't have) when you have to prove things. For instance, I have a full birth certificate that even my mom didn't know I had! Edd's mom on the other hand was certain he had a full birth certificate and then we ended up having to apply for one from the registrar!
