It's the 9th April and we have luckily just returned in one piece from our Whitsunday boat trip. To start with our boat was called Spank Me so we knew it was going to be a funny trip but we had no idea what to expect. We arrived onboard and started sailing and of course the rain and wind started. We all spent the next few hours soaking wet on deck being thrown around whilst trying not to go overboard! We finally got to our stop for the night in 40 minutes instead of 2hours as the wind was so strong. Although the crew managed to break the sail in the process. The first night sleeping on a boat in a bunk was interesting - especially with about 28 other people. We were woke up at 6am and made to get straight up on deck in our pj's as the boat was heading towards the rocks as now both the steering and gearbox had broken too! After some handiwork we were finally on our way to Whitehaven Beach which was the most amazing beach I've ever seen with sand like icing sugar and bright blue sea. We saw some stingrays there too before stopping for some snorkelling. It was really cool and we saw loads of colourful fish including the famous fish called George that lives there. Second night was a bit easier and when we woke up we got straight in for some more snorkelling and saw another famous fish called Elvis who was huge (about 1.5 metres!) Before heading home we also stopped at a bay where all the turtles live and got to swim along with them (and some small sharks!!) Now we are glad to be back on dry land even though I still feel like I'm rocking back and forth!
