It's the 14th May and we are in paradise... Bula! - hello in Fijian.
After the delay with the flight being cancelled we arrived in Fiji just a day late. First stop on our tour is South Sea Island which is only 30 minutes from the mainland Nadi.
We got the ferry over and as we got closer we couldn't believe how small the island was. You could walk all the way around it in about 3 minutes! It was like a deserted island out of a film. Its such a pretty island with a nice beach and plenty of hammocks and beanbags to chill out and a nice pool. It only has one main building where we slept, and a big outdoors eating area. And it's officially the biggest dorm room we have stayed in with 32 beds in one room!
We decided we are going to have a bit of a detox while we are in Fiji after all the drinking and eating we did in New Zealand. We drank loads of water and had some nice fresh food and no alcohol (yet!)
We went on a submarine boat around the island which was cool and we saw some fish and starfish. The weather is really good and we made the most of sitting on the beach and catching some rays which was perfect. The Fijian people are really lovely and so friendly and helpful, and it's really chilled out as everyone's on 'Fiji time'.
