Up at 7 for a 7.30 leave for Sihanouville. A long '3 hour' bus ride later...(7 hours) we arrived at our bungalow hotel.Headed for a bite to eat, one block round the corner, at the beach.First impressions of this strip of sand along the coast, full of fat or overly tanned western toursits was not a great one! Left hotel at 8.30am for the killing fields prison in the actual city centre of Phnom Penh. It was one of many prisons created by the Khmer Rouge to hold and interrogate inmates, mainly through torture. The inmates were made up of anyone Pol Pot's regime deemed educated. The morning after the Temple Bar was a slow one to say the least... Luckily the bus to Phnom Penh wasn't untill 12pm. The 7 hour public bus to the capital of Cambodia was way better than expected with the time passing relatively quickly. We got up at 4.30 and got a tuk tuk to Angkor, the site of the famous Angkor Wat temple, to watch the sunrise over it. The architecture was incredible, and pictures from the sunrise are amazing. The only downside being how busy it was with tourists, although inevitable at such a place. We looked around six other small temples including the one used in the first Tomb raider film, although we didnt realise that at the time... After a lot of steps on empty stomach...

Woke up for a 7am meet in the lobby, and got onto minibusses for day long trip across the Cambodian border to Siem Reap. A long day that took a lot out of everyone, especially the heat at the border. Arrived at 6pm and went for dinner at 7 on Pub Street, for some traditional Khmer food and a dance show.
