This bridge spans the Loire River as it passes through Tours. It is named after the American President at the time of World War 1 honoring the American assistance during the war. There is a large mall running from the centre of Tours to the bridge which features tram lines all the way to and past this bridge. The fun park area seems to be a permanent feature and this bridge area holds markets and is a family friendly area especially at weekends.
