Woke up next to Lake Taupo with excitment and nervous for thrilling day! Firstly we head to 4PLAY office where meeting point is to pick us up and take us to.... Bungee Jumping (44m down)!
Once we arrived and we head to headquarter where we fill out the forms etc. Us lads went to Bungee Jumping and I was behind Asher to see him go jump first and excitment approached at me! So after the fittings, I waddled to the edge un-steadily due to the thick ropes tied all around my ankles and posed for the camera. Then I went off zoom down and I felt like freefall and cold air breeze at me then by inches I almost got in water but bounce back up/down until I reach stick from crew in the boat! It was extremely epic! After that we got on ride on helicopter around Taupo as same time they drop us to our third taks! it was fantastic! We saw plenty of things and beautiful scenery, for instance the Huka Fall, Geyster and thermals rock pools with steams. We finally landed - people was looking at us, the man who worked at the jet boating shook our hand and followed him - we felt like James Bond!
They eventually made their grand entrance to the admiring and envious looks of our fellow passengers on the boat. We all got our lifejackets on and clambered on the boat with our driver Steve. We whizzed through the river with an occasional daring 360 degrees spins. The first time we had a spin, someone nearly flew out of their seat which were amusing because she wasn't paying attention to Steve's signal that we were about to have a spin.
We eventually came to a rest near the majestic Hulka Falls and after taking photographs, we went back to the jetty with narrow near-miss incidents with the tree lining on the river and rocks floating in the river which Steve deliberately drove inches past to scare us all! We headed back to Info Centre for the day for the last activity- Skydiving.
I arrived at skydiving with excitment and nervous as I known that I will skydiving up at 12,000 ft! depend on my jumper! Once I go in small aircraft with Charlene and strange women from Japan who keep crying and shrieking when approaching up higher! My jumper show me how many feets and altiude up air as we all had each teams - passenger, jumper and free-fall cameraman then I went first to jump As we got higher, it then time for us to throw ourselves out of the plane! The jumper pushed me out - and I was falling out of the sky. It was unbelievable experience. I loved it! as I swooped downwards with glee, the views were amazing but I was really cold. Eventually released the parachute up and I floated downwards at more leisurely pace before landing. We all purchased our photos and DVD etc. It was so so extremely experience and I would love to do it again for sure!
After thrilling day and we head to Rotorua - home of skintbomb sulphur! We parked in campsite and organised surprise mini party for Asher'21st so after that we tried to get rid of Asher - thankfully he went to the Internet cafe. We all did something and waited for Asher to come back. We surprised him with plenty of colourful balloon, banners and cakes with candle. We had his 21st early party here :) it was funny evening and we ended the day with Stienlager beers
