Just worked out we can comment on this!
Cheers Paul for the compliment on our blog writing, its a total pain to do sometimes, relying on internet etc. It does your head in! We have found some photos which we have posted, some are just lost for good, bummer. Thanks everyone for your messages! no scars yet Shaun, but we have just under 2 weeks to go so watch this space.....
Paul
Hey your back. I thought you had to pay for your wifi, hence the lack of messages. lol.
What a great time you seem to be having making me feel like i want to up and go travelling. Hope you have not lost your photo's as that will be such a shame. As for your story's they are really good loving the blog, have you both thought about writing a book a new career change, I was chatting to an American author and his wife the other month and they travel the world he writes and she takes the pictures. Just a thought.
So nothing much has changed here on the rock except the sad news about Sarah Groves but you already know that,
I think after your adventures this place will seem pretty dull i would think. Well stay safe and look out for each other, and looking forward to your next instalment.
Emma

Hey guys, loving your blog and finding it very funny hearing what you've been up to - Dom, I can't believed you got scammed so many times, har har!! It makes a nice change to read about your adventures when I'm sat at my desk having a cuppa. Missing you loads, stay safe and can't wait for the next instalment! Lots of love Lou, Lisa & Roux bear (vocabulary has now expanded from mainly 'Hoover', to include: shoe, duck, quack, meow (whenever he sees a cat), woof (whenever he sees a dog), blueberry, more, door, car... - he'll be quoting Shakespeare by the time you're back!! Hi Guys,
Sounds like you are having a really good time, even though some of it sounds like a nightmare. Just reading charlie harry's message he is a man of the world so well travelled.
Love reading your blog so funny that Shelly has the positive and Dom has the negatives. do not know how that happened. lol.
You both be careful over there and watch out for the scammers i bet that pissed Dom of in Deli, getting caught out more than once. Well happy travels looking forward to your next post and seeing some of those amazing pictures. Stay safe & Take care x

Hi Guys, Hope you are both well. If you haven't been ill yet then you're doing really well! I was ill twice within my first three weeks until I fully realised the dos & don'ts. The rice is the thing you really need to be careful of as it attracts bacteria very easily - I now realise!
Your accounts of the cities really remind me of my initial reaction to them. Like me though, I'm sure you'll remember them with fondness & they will go down as some of your most 'real' travel experiences. I even got to enjoy the human faeces here & there because its certainly different to what were used to & you certainly know you're somewhere different. I mean, you don't get that in St. Peter Port! Well, we might have encountered it a few times on a Friday night when we've been working!
I'm quite sure you'll be pleasantly surprised by Varanasi though - I loved it! It's a smaller city & even though its manic of course, it's not in the same way as the other cities you've experienced. Also, you'll be getting used to them by now! Be sure to view from a boat the bathing ghats at dawn & the ceremonies on the banks of the Ganges in the evening.
Aren't the trains an experience!? They are one of the best insights into Indian culture that you can find. You haven't said anything about your cockroach experiences yet. I remember I had them all around me on the sleeper trains (probably all over me as I slept). There were so many cockroaches in the trains toilets that I wouldn't go in them. To avoid the trauma I ended up doing my business in a plastic bag & emptying it out the train window! I don't know what the locals thought. I bet they wondered where the hell had I come from! I bet they now think everybody does that in Belgium (ref. my comments under one of your blogs)!!!
I didn't see the Taj Mahal on my first trip either for pretty much the same reasons as you. Do keep it on your list of things to see before you die though! It is absolutely beautiful & well worth a trip back to India just for that. Maybe you can visit it with all of your children in a few years time! I bet you're thinking you'd never take a child to India!
I really do wish I was there. I just love India!
Take care both of you, & stay safe.
