In OSLO at the Central Hostel. It is so clean and nice and reasonably priced!
It is my birthday today. 56 WOW, this has been some year, and it is still not over - 21/2 more months to go!
So my priorities have changed - would rather catch up my pictures than worry about what I am going to for me. Tahyia and I will go out for a quite evening later so I cam looking forward to that, but otherwise, happy to do this.
I am helping this little girl whose name is Precious. My driver on the 5 country African tour - Sandile - was telling me how she so wanted to do well on the primary exams but the teacher didn't come or was drunk. So, I help them out with tuition, books and uniform clothing, so she can get ahead. Smart kid - was #2 in her class even though she didn't have a full year there. These are the kids that will change our world.
I miss my family and friends but this adventure has given me so much perspective - not saying I have changed my views - that comes with a lifetime of trials and tribulations - but I am so grateful to now have a deeper, clearer understanding of where we came from, why the world is as it is and that people are really the same everywhere. I am coming to my own conclusions; the 'Leah People Types' You find them everywhere - no matter what country. The people I have met - or have allowed myself to meet have made this trip amazing....thank you from the bottom of my heart for accepting me (as crazy as I am) and for allowing me into your life. This is for so many people that don't have the money or luxery of a laptop or internet that have touched me and often made my life easier, more fun and interesting.
Cheers

Dottie Maitland Happy Birthday to you from Lake Chautauqua New York. Jim and I are having our own adventure and should return back about the same time you do. Travel certainly does change us.
Debbie Goodfellow Hi Leah - Happy Belated Birthday! Hope it was a good one and you indulged in some good food and wine.
