This morning's highlight was Doris destroying her bathroom and causing a power outage by using a faulty socket. We were left with no power. We were able to see St Donato one last time and how quietly it sits at the base of the mountain. Our next stops were Barrea followed by Pescocostanza. We left Positano with heavy hearts but we take with us wonderful memories. Our next destination is Pompeii where Elisa, myself, Tizianna and Lelio enter the sight of histories most famous volcanic eruption. Our experience was enhanced by meeting a man who offered to be our guide for a fee, of course. He told us he was an official. The weather Today was perfect for a boat tour of Capri. We had pre booked the tour for our group on a boat with a wonderful guide who picked us up at Positano and took us for around the island explaining the famous landmarks and allowing us the opportunity to swim into the famous grottos. Today we spent the day exploring Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. They are all beautiful but Ravello was my favourite due ti its elevation, spectacular views and beautiful piazza.

We disembarked the Preziosa in Civitavecchia the final time and set off on our much anticipated road trip. Our first destination was Itri the home town of Maria Battaro where we got to meet her relations and have some pizza for lunch at their cafe. We then set off for The Amalfi coast and more specifically Positano. The views are amazing but the narrow winding roads and blind corners made the drive a hair raising experience.
