Hi Riley,Josh,Bella and Corey and everybody, we have arrived at Roxby Downs which is in the middle of nowhere,there are no trees but beautiful.
We went to andamooka today which was quite an eye opening experience there were lots of mounds of dirt where they had been digging for opals and not much else,there were rusty old cars and truck all over the place and nobody around it was quite eerie.We think the locals have a big party house under the ground somewhere and watch all the tourist on a webcam.
We went to woomera today and saw all the old rockets which was really good,the town was spotless but there was nobody there(quite eerie).
We are finally on the Stuart highway which is the main highway to Darwin,we are really relaxed and enjoying the trip so far.Stopped at a roadhouse today for gas and paid $1.00 ltr which is what we expected out here,we are heading off to Coober Pedy tommorrow.and we will probably stay there for a few days.
We tried to get in for a trour of the big Uranium and copper mine here but they do not have tours on a weekend so we missed out there.The whole town survives on the BHP mine at Olympic Dam 10 km up the road,and it is quite bizzare to see such a thriving little oasis in the middle of nowhere.
