We are on the road again and are staying at Rolingston Beach for 2 nights before we head up to Mission Beach for 5 nights. We had a lovely 12 nights at Bowen but were ready to leave after that time and head on to new adventures.
This is a funny park about 50kms north of Townsville in the middle of nowhere, but when we arrived it was absolutely packed as it was a long weekend in Townsville as it was school holidays and it was the show weekend. Just on dusk everyone moved their chairs to the beachfront and watched the sunset while the kids played in the sand and the dads fished in the sea,it was lovely, then after dark everyone lit fires along the beach and stood around them and either fished or just socialised.I havn't seen fires lit on beaches ever!!!
Most of the families have packed up and gone home now and the park is back to normal so it will be interesting to see what everyone does tonight.

Rudi Interesting stuff. The question that I alywas ask is how did people buy into another bubble (housing)so shortly after the bursting of the tech bubble. It usually takes longer for people to forget. It doesn't take a genius to realize that housing values shouldn't increase by 25 percent a year during what was at best an average postwar economic expansion
