Well the countdown is on! In exactly one week we will be boarding our flight from Vancouver and will be starting our 30+ hour trip to Johannesburg, South Africa! Two 13 hour flights split up by four hours in Hong Kong - I can't wait! Actually, I'm counting how many sleeping pills and anxiety meds I'm going to need to get myself through the flights - heights are not my thing! Just Breathe, Haley.

With only a week to go, we are trying to get all of our last minute preparation and planning done! After 40 minutes on hold with Koodo, my phone is now unlocked and I will be bringing that with us and getting a SIM card there. I have booked us a lovely cottage for our first two nights in Jo-berg for only 1,200 ZAR (roughly $120). Very cheap I must say for our own detached apartment - free wifi, kitchen, pool - need I say more?

From there, we join up with our Intrepid Tour - Okavango Experience - where we will drive up through Botswana, camp under the stars, go on various safaris, and end at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe 10 days later.

After that, we have one month more to explore - who knows where we will go!

As you can imagine, my mother is quite worried about our long journey, so I will be updating this blog where wifi allows throughout our trip!
