The centre of the design represents the propeller of a Vimy bomber biplane which were constructed until 1919 at the Morgan & Co. factory at Vimy Road (i.e. the land where the current Tescos supermarket is sited). Surrounding the propeller are a number of disks, each of which carry designs (on both sides), representative of the towns heritage.
