"Roamin in the gloamin on the bonny banks of Clyde" (not quite as scenic as I thought!!) On our way now to Dublin via Belfast. Still grey, but beautiful scenery along the way!! Almost time for me to acquire a rapid taste for Guinness!! Xx

A beautiful day in downtown Edinburgh! The castle is AMAZING!!! Just loving the history and character of this city!! Sitting in the Deacon Brodie pub sipping on a Black Stella, while Bwian has a Guinness. Just ordered some Haggis for a snack!!!! (think Bwian can have that all to himself!!) Gorgeous place although somewhat damp!! :-)

Saw some picturesque scenery today in The Lakes District. Went on a boat cruise on Windermere and a short steam train ride too. Stopped at a quaint village, Grasmere, and saw William Wordsworth's grave in the grounds of a gorgeous little church. Just made it into Scotland and are now in Glasgow. Like Leeds, a very industrial city with an interesting skyline! Off for a special Scottish dinner and show tonight. I can hardly wait for what's to come .... Perhaps hag...

Made it into Leeds and were greeted by loud partying in the square behind the hotel. Got settled and then joined the melee!!! Very chilly outside but all of the young people had their beer coats on, so didn't feel it. Sat for a while then joined some if our group inside. We have people from USA, Canada, South Africa, NZ and Aus. Of 45 travellers, we'd have about 14 Aussies from all over. All good!!

Just on our way on the Trafalgar Tour. Wandered through Stratford Upon Avon and Shakespeare country - such a pretty place. There was a Morris Dancing festival happening there, so there were lots of groups dotted around the town performing, which provided a wonderful atmosphere.
