Made it to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It's a bit cooler than the last time we were here, and quite lovely walking weather. We found a little restaurant for dinner in a quaint little street and had some traditional fare and wait for it ..... Chianti!!! Quite yummy and enjoyable. Strolled back to our hotel and have settled in. Hot shower and a cup of tea .... Old peoples' pleasures!!!! Tomorrow the Muellers are off to see the Colosseum, the Forum and al...

Salute!!!! Here we are in Rome after a more lengthy departure from Venice than we planned. C'est la vie!! On our way to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, not far from our hotel, but Pepy's Bar jumped out at us along the way. Salute again with some chilly Peronis (and a Guinness for Kathy)! Xx

What a debacle!!! Disembarkation on Costa was a nightmare!! Lined up for 2 hours to get our passports back, amid some very cranky people - like seagulls on a chip!!! ! Many missed flights and us our train to Rome. Another 320 euros for the 4 of us for new tickets and we're on our way, although a few hours late!! Had a great time on the cruise but their embarkation and disembarkation processes are woeful!! All good now! Xx

Here is as close as we got to Dubrovnik!!! We were all ready, bus stickers on, mustered in our waiting area ... poised ... Only to hear that the wind warning was so high, that we couldn't be transferred to the tenders safely, so our day ashore was thwarted by the elements!!!
