we arrive to rainbow beach!

2 nights here, so we get to go to the beach and enjoy the sun, also do the training before we head off for our 3 day 2 night trip to fraser!the largest sand island!

i decline the option to drive, wisely so does amanda, but shelly goes for it!
in our group there is 8 of us!
us 4 then 2 french canadian weirdo chicks who have peircings and tell us on our second night that they have slept together.......... leave u to your own conclusions!
and a couple, beryl from germany and her irish boyfriend!

ok so michelle drives onto the island when we arrive, not easy with me shouting at her in the back...nobody wants to get stuck in the sand!
wash outs are another issue.. so glad i didnt drive!
we visit lake mackenzie, very pretty, no pics as it was raining..but we got in to swim, we were told that there would be baby turtles in the lake but we couldnt swim deep enough!

next stop to get the tent pitched...party was in out van of course.... and of course we had the most drink...
i was in bed but i think the girls sent some ppl on their way and then their tent went missing.... i got up to help look for it!
can i also point out that the island wardens were partying with the group still lol
so we get the tent back and ange and amanda go to sleep... but not for long before the dingos start howling and we all end up in the same tent for protection....

next day we head for indian head, where we did not see any of the sea life we were told we would...
then lake wabby which im sorry but was not worth the trek.... it was forever away on foot and their was massive spiders everywhere!!!!!!! and the catfish would not nibble our toes.... it continuously rained on and off here....
ok so we get tented up but we end up away from the other groups, possibly tented up on a snake pit but we try not to think about it now...

next morning its breakfast and then to see the ship wreck and lake ellis, pictures all on facebook..

we arrive back to rainbow beach and we are very happy to get washed! and dispose of the sand ...
spend the next day at the beach before we head off on another over night bus ride.. to airlie beach!
