13.07.05 Flew to Lima today!! (via Amsterdam and Bonaire). Was SUCH a long day. Hotel is really nice though. Had like 18 meals on the plane, so didn't bother with dinner!! 14.07.05 Had a bit of a lie-in, then decided to go and explore Lima Centro - the older part of town. Didn't realise just how far away it was though! And ended up spending about 6 hours walking there, around and back! Saw some cool architecture though. Got back and decided to be lazy and have dinner in the really posh hotel restaurant "D 15.07.05 Headed (through San Isidro) to Miaflores today. Went to see an old Inca mound - really unusual looking place and wandered through some markets that we're going to head back to before Bonaire to pick up some bargains! Looked all around Miaflores including a shopping centre which faces the Pacific! Got dinner in our fancy restaurant again and enjoyed a bottle of wine before bed "D 16.07.05 Had to change hotels this morning - today is officially DAY 1 of our tour, although we're not meeting people until 7pm. Have been looking around Miaflores again - saw a parade and drank coffee serenaded by locals playing windpipes! Went to Larco Mar shopping centre again to have a look around, then had a lovely dinner at a cafe outside. Went to a dark bar for a quick cocktail before heading back for our meeting, then an early night for our early morning!
