Bangkok is hot and humid and a little bit rainy! The hotel is very nice and the staff are so attentive it is overwhelming! Yesterday I did a bit of shopping, had a nice lunch and spent the afternoon by the pool. Today I decided to ditch the overpriced, ending up in a gem store prior to transport back to the hotel tour! Public transport involved train and boat - both successful. I went to see the Grand Palace and a complex of temples where an emerald Buddha is situated. Then back to a gorgeous high tea at the hotel- no dinner for me. 1 more day here then off to Koh Samui on Thursday.
As I have just put the date in, the fact that it is now July hits me- as my travelling will come to an end on July 11! But the back to work date is August 4( I can hear Cecilia cheering!)
