I arrived in Venice today and it was lucky that I actually made it!
The flight from Orlando landed in Frankfurt late and they couldn't get the passenger air bridge to work. So we had to wait on the plane 45 minutes until they got buses for us. Then I had to go through passport and security and I was running to the gate! There were a few of us running!!!
Anyway, I am here but unfortunately the hotel room is terrible - single bed and a very tiny room and this for $ 220. I asked to be moved to another better room and was told that they could do it for today but not the next 3!! So I am putting up with it and will be talking to my travel agent who had suggested it....
Anyway Venice is gorgeous. I am doing a walking tour tomorrow and went to have pizza tonight. Huge difference in the attitude to customers here as compared to the US. Italians don't care if you liked your meal or not... But at least the pizza was delicious!
