Arrived in Saigon on the 17th. And it was hot, very hot. After about an hour looking round various guesthouses we eventually settled on one for 7 dollars. Saigon wasn't quite what i was expecting, it was a much more modern city than I imagined, not at all like Ha Noi. To be honest we didn't like it as much. We spent yesterday wondering around the sights, the reunification palace and the war museum. spent the evening in a bar watching Liverpool vs Man Utd in the fa cup. Today we went to the Cu Chi tunnels. This was really good, crawling through some of the tunnels, and see all the booby traps the Viet Cong used against the Americans. We leave Saigon tomorrow, to do a tour on the Mekong, and then finishing it in Phnom Penn, Cambodia.
