We are so happy to hear about your adventure. What a good move. I look forward to seeing the piccies and hearing about the places you see. If you do think of moving around a bit, there are two places relatively near you that Id love to revisit. One is Gernika, the subject of Picassos remarkable painting, which is within an hour of Bilbao which has the Guggenheim Museum, a remarkable piece of cultural colonialism. And San Sebastian would be great to visit. And the Lascaux caves. And the museum for Leonardo somewhere in the Loire which we didnt find. And and and and.. and then another friend is flying out in a couple of days for Morocco and then France.and and and Ill think of you on my commute to Gosford!

PS: My chronic fatigue is in remission it seems. I'm now a chance for a trekking trip in Nepal in November and December.

Hello dear Doug (and other European vacationers)

There is a great website that David just discovered which provides the most incredibly detailed information about travel routes in Europe. It is called drivealive.com. You simply type in the details of where you want to go to and it gives you a listing of routes / hotels on the roads you travel / distances and even the location of speed cameras. It operates all around Europe and in England.

Check it out before you do the Amsterdam odyssey!
