Back home in Mallorca, it's been a week since i left New Zealand but i've memories that will last a lifetime. My last day was a beauty, spent quaffing champagne and wine at the seafood and wine festival on Auckland harbour. I must add, i have been slagging Auckland after the 'soulless' 3 days i spent there at xmas, i have now changed my opinion. The South island gets all the coverage and glory but the North certainly is packed with stuff to do, luckily we have some time on our hands. The last night in Wellington we spent with a good meal and the obligitory bottle of red, well two actually. One with the cheap Indian meal deal in the hostel ($9 all in, yummy), the second watching the free concert in the botanical gardens - good on yer again Wellington!. Well, on the way home, yuk, it feels like it anyway, we crossed over to the North Island and are in the capitol - the Windy City of Wellington, it certainly lives up to it's name. We are pretty much chilling out for 2 days until we hit some more activities up North. Finally made it to the top of the South island, Nelson, it was a long drive from the glaciers and rooms were hard to come by. We're stopping at the YHA (youth hostaling asc), it's like a backpackers, same facilities and cost but just a different profile (or so it seems). The dorm's a bit, how shall i say, quite and considerate, not too much interaction and certainly no late night drinking madness, erm, well i soon livened the place up - not sure how much apprecia...

Jusrt got back to Queenstown after a three night adventure to what i believe to be the most picturesque place in the world, the photo here really does not do Milford justice. The sun shone for our final day in Queeenstown, perfect to take in the views on the gondola, at 500 metres above the town the views are incredible. In the afternoon we found a cracking wine tasting place, smack in the small town centre, they have over 600 wines, 80 to taste, nice comfy leat...
