Malaysia...(3rd country)

Two down 6 to go. Arrived in kuala lumpur on saturday night, didnt really do much... watched a bit of the fa cup final... went to bed.

yesterday.. well we met up with john and chris, two people that i used to work with who have been 'posted' out here to aid the devlopment of the malaysian office. John has been out here since feb, and chris joined him on friday when john returned for his second spell here. So john was our tour guide for the day. Met about 10.30 at petronas towers unfortunately we were unable to get tickets for the towers as the days tickets went faster than leeds fest tickets!! So we went to the KL tower which actually offers better views of the city and is higher up. It was amazing, its actually really weird looking down on skyscrapers!! got some amazing photos of KL. then john took us across to china town. full of dodgy stalls selling dodgy goods but good nether the less. we sampled some local cuisine which i still dont know what it was. some jelly type thing with honey. strange, washed down with some kinda of tea. we then decided we should get some proper food so went back to KLCC to grab an indian. after stuffing ourselves on rice.. we headed to times square which is a mall with a rollercoaster on the 4-10 floors of the mall. which itself is pretty unique. after that we headed to a pool hall for a few games then to.. the irish bar round the corner. ended up having a few beers with them before returning 'home' at 2am. think we are meeting up with them again tonight
