Back home....

Just arrived after completing an 80km trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp in Tibet.

3700 meters above sea level, Lhasa, the capital of Tibet is known as "The Land of Gods" in Tibetan. It is the "Roof of the World". It's hard to explain or discribe what this city is like. I have never visited a city like this. It is an amazing place, from the world famous Potala Palace to the street monks walking the streets chanting, everwhere you go seems to be an adventure. Have a look at the pictures and you will see what I mean. :-)

I'm feeling a bit lazy and time is against me so I borrowed the following from Roy's blog (I got his permission!). Well, we got it, the permits and the train tickets and are on our way to the Holy City of Lhasa. The train journey was about 36hours, very posh, tv for every bed, oxygen also for all, yeh.
