Blog Day 179 Tues 1st November 2011

Today we head into Port Macquarie. We find some outdoor BBQs & soon have breakfast sorted. We have a stroll around the town & pick up a couple few things from the supermarket. We then discover that the Tourist info/theatre (The Glasshouse) has free Wi-Fi. So we move the van & jump in to have a catch up on good old Facebook & e-mails etc. We then pop round to a shopping mall just to have a wander around. We pick up a couple of cheap movies just for those early nights. It's not until we go back to the camper that we discover an envelope of the windscreen. Panic sets in first, then realisation, then reality when we discover that the place we parked in the second time had a 1hr limit much to our annoyance. We were parked up for almost 2 hours so a hefty $88 (£56 ) fine is now hanging over our heads. Needless to say the drive to the rest stop just outside of Newcastle is a very quiet one indeed!
