Happy New Year everyone!
I'm now in Canberra, so I have officially visited all of Australia's states and territories. I just have a quick stop of here on my way back to Melbourne from Sydney, where I've spent the last three days.
While I was in Sydney, I went back to Coogee, where I started off in Aus almost two years ago. Myself and Lorna (friend from Darwin) did the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk and it was a beautiful sunny day, so good for pictures!
On New Year's Eve a group of us went to Sydney Harbour to watch the fireworks. We got an awesome spot opposite the main part of the city in a place called Cremorne Point. We got there at about 1pm, as we'd heard everyone goes really early (like 8am) and got ourselves a spot with a brilliant view overlooking the opera house and the harbour bridge. We spent the day sitting by the water in the sun to save the space, but it was worth it because at midnight we had fireworks going off right in front of us, as well as a pretty good view of the bridge.
I left Sydney yesterday and got the bus to Canberra. Today I only had a about 3 hours to walk around sightseeing before my next bus back to Melbourne. It was drizzly with rain and I walked around about half of the lake to the War Museum, National Carillion (bell tower) and Parliament house. I wasn't particularly impressed, but at least now i've been to the Capital before i leave in 2 days.
