First signs of the masses of ant hills in the NT which seem to grow bigger as you head north. Decided to give the girls a treat and stay at a Big4 caravan park. Jaime and Alex loved the pools with a slide, ("Best Day Ever", was screamed out as going down the slide), bouncing pillow and lots of kids to play with. Sunday morning pancakes were also a highlight. Consequently we didn't see much of Alice or surrounds. Plenty of restocking of food and alcohol, and fill of junk food. Service the car, and purchase of supplies for running repairs was a must. Saw our first dingo at a roadside rest stop. Not the wild encounter we were hoping for. Plenty more dingos at Kings Canyon camp grounds, sniffing around the tents looking for food. The walk around the canyon was excellent, and the girls managed it mostly unassisted. Great bush campsite area with pool for the kids, water still freezing.. A relaxing 4 days at Yulara - Ayers Rock Camping Ground. Girls managed to compete the Uluru base walk of over 10km with a little bit of carrying when required. Also did a great job scaling the rocks on the Olgas, Walpa Gorge walk. We had a great sunset bbq and sunrise breakfast overlooking Uluru. Kids loved the playground tractor and old metal play equipment. Enjoyed a decent pub meal and beer off the tap. Great free showers.
