At 8am we started our 5 hr journey to north of the country,Siem Reap. Drove through stunning countryside...every house n farm is set out perfectly with animals at the front,lotus n lily ponds,hay bales n the house on stilts. It never stopped all the way up. Cambodia has so much more open space, is cleaner n far more beautiful...a lot to do with having only 20% of the population of V'nam n similar size landless. Not seen scenery or villages like this before in Africa or Europe.
Much less traffic n certainly less motorbikes! Weather sunny n hot...we are feeling very lucky to be seeing all of this.
Arrived at hotel....lush! Angkor Watt n the temples can wait for a day..pool,bright/hot sun over 30, n a tour of the drinks list!
