Packed up and left early the next morning to avoid paying the camp ranger. Had the rare treat of breakfast at a cafe in Maclean. Before setting up the camper in Yamba we went for a swim in an ocean pool. It was great fun with the waves breaking on the side of the pool before flooding it with seawater. Not many other campers around but plenty of kangaroos. They were hanging around just metres from our camper.We had planned to go for a long walk along the beach the next morning but we met a fellow camper who had some expensive eskies stolen during the day. So instead we decided to move on early in the morning. Kylie got a bit scared that night when we saw a car driving around the campsite. I think they were only collecting firewood.

On the way to our next campsite in the Yuraygir National Park on the coast we stopped at a market in Woolgoolga. These small town markets are great. A lot the stuff seems like junk to me but it's generally cheap junk. It's fun looking around for a bargain. It's also a good place to pick up some cheap books and stock up on fruit and vegies. Stayed for 4 nights at the Moonee Beach caravan park. It had nice facilities and was located on a coastal estuary 10 minutes north of Coffs Harbour. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach and next to the river. The large tidal movements within the estuary made it an interesting place to swim and play. We decided to head north and had picked a campsite just out of Macksville.Before heading to the campsite we picked up some supplies in Macksville.
