The morning started with a look in shops and market stalls in Aix-en-Provence. I found the town very quaint and pretty but the down side was that everywhere you looked you could see smokers lounging around :{. Then headed home to rest up ready to leave tomorrow.

Today we had a lovely breakfast of different home-made jams, pastries and drinks. We set off towards the Alps. We arrived at Lac de Sainte-Croix. I thought it was the most amazing lake I have ever seen! The water was so crystal clear and the most amazing blues! July 6th This morning I woke up greeted with the tasty smells of homemade baguettes, jam and juice. In France the people usually only have a light breakfast called a continental breakfast followed by a heavier lunch. After breakfast we set off exploring the little towns of Provence. Today we returned the boat back at 10am but we could only collect our rental car at 2pm so we had a lot of time to kill. We started off by going to the lock to look at other people coming in and out. When lots of little boats came in we helped some of them with their ropes. We had another walk around but found it quite exhausting because of the heat and had a rest before finally returning to get the taxi to Bezier airport to collect our car. We drove a few hours...

Today was our final day on the Java! We were ready and set to leave by 8:30. First we began to motor the boat down the canal and back to Agde. The few days on the canal had really gone fast! When we arrived at Agde it was already very hot. We were all looking forward to a nice cool splash in the pool at our next B&B.
