From Brisbane to Noosa......
After having a few maniac days in Brisbane, Me and Sophie decided to leave Curt and Ben and go to Noosa by ourselves as we prefer the more chilled out, relaxed atmosphere! And it certainly was a chilled out town, and infact the best place we have visited so far. We had such a fantastic two days in Noosa, this could be due to leaving the boys behind (only kidding!) but the place itself was amazing. Definately a place i would recommend to everyone travelling up the East Coast, or wanting a long break away from England!
Noosa is a very simular place to Byron, but personally i think it is a lot prettier than Byron with its stunning scenery and ozzy atmosphere. We stayed at a resort just out of the town centre which i am glad we did now looking back on it. Our hostel was called VIP Backpackers which was situated near a gorgeous river, campsight and fishermans heaven. On our first day at Noosa, me and Sophie went by bus to visit a nearby town which was very simular to Byron with quaint little shops (however we never discovered the best part till day 2)
On the evening me and Sophie decided to hire out Kayaks and go round the river next to our hostel. This was absolutly amazing- very very surreal. The sun was just setting as we were floating around the river which made it even better. This was a really cool experience as you got to see all the gorgeous holiday homes around the outside of the river, campsights, people fishing and people just lazying about. So chilled out! It was quite a good laugh too, as me and Sophie were not the best at Kayaking! Wobbling here, there and everywhere - hilirious when a speed boat came along!
On the same night we chilled out at the Hostel and met a guy from Newcastle, a couple of lads from leeds which was really good. Nice to hear a yorkshire accent and get our humour! Very funny to hear many yorkshire phrases.. We also, forgot to mention at the beginning of this day, we bumped into a lad we went to college with at richmond. He was staying in exactly the same hostel as us. Very very strange!
Our second day at Noosa was fantastic, an absolutly gorgeous day, and me and Sophie decided to hire out Bicycles to see more of Noosa. What a great idea this was! We passed many gorgeous villages next to the river - the scenery was stunning, and went to another town near our hostel. This was fab with lots of local ozzy shops, bars and restaurants. If only we had time to go shopping! We saw many amazing beaches, they were absolutly gorgeous - small little bays, and the water was so shallow and clear. We relaxed for an hour just taking it in, and paddling our feet in the warm water.
We ventured to a view point where you can see all of Noosa, this was incredible as you could see all the little towns and bays. Mind you this was such a tiring trek! I have never seen a mountain like it that me and Sophie had to climb up. It made it even worse as it was bloody boiling! There was points throughout this trek we thought we were going to pass out.. but funny. Well worth the trek when we got to the point! Beautiful. After we chilled out at the point we had so much fun bombing it back down the mountain! This was hilirious when there was massive bumps in the roads. Great fun!
After our trek up to the point we biked to the main beach, then walked around the national park. This was really gorgeous! We passed so many beautiful beaches (took a photo of every one) and walked to Dolphin Point, another trek, but was worth seeing the view! Gutted however as we never got to see any Dolphins due to the time of the day and the fact we had to be back to catch the greyhound...
Noosa was by far the best place we have visited due to the amazing scenery, white sands, calm seas, and relaxed atmosphere. If you ever get the chance.. go!!!
