We got to the island of Andros by ship from the port of Rafina, the journey took about 1.5 hours.

We hired a taxi to the St Nicolas Monastery, the drive was a 30 min beautiful Mountainous drive high up, windey and angelating roads.

When we got to the monastery the gates were shut but because the elder Doro Theou Themelis was expecting Peter and I we entered and whilst walking through the Moneatary i couldn't help but smell the beautiful burning incense at the entrance to the door of where Elder Doro Theou was sitting.

The elder Greeted us and shortly invited us to eat dinner. The brother helping cooked eggs tomatoe salad fresh bread an assortment of cheeses.

The elder wants us to stay a few days.
