Spending a few days in Cuenca, which is a beautiful city with some good restaurants. Enjoying being back in civilization after the jungle. Staying in a nice hostel on the 6th floor, which is next to a flower market and the cathedrals.

We arrived in Loja after a very long bus trip (more than 12 hours). Loja had some nice parks and a little zoo with native Ecuadorian animals like the Andean spectacled bear, plus a giraffe! We spent one night in Zamora, a small town in the jungle. We went for a walk in the rainforest and saw loads of butterflies and orchids. There was a massive waterfall which we went under to cool off. The rainforest was amazing.
