Hey guys! I'm going to miss you while you're gone! I always knew you'd leave your mark on the world somehow - stay safe and try not to get too homesick - remember that the rest of us back home are jealous (and proud) of the experience you two are about to have! Can't wait to see some pics and hear some stories! I'll keep you both in my prayers. Joy's posting made me laugh. It's true -you should NEVER pet tigers regardless of how cute and cuddly they seem. And remember, if one is after you and all else fails, throw salt in their eyes - because hey - no one likes that.

What a time you will have...are having!! You'll take off today for a whole new world, and you're going to love it. We will, of course, be missing you, and thinking about and praying for you. Our bambinos will be listening to your story cd while you're away, and waiting for your return in ten months. So much will happen to you during this time; we're sure you'll come back to us with different hearts and different worldviews and lots to tell! I'm really glad you were able to come for lunch today, despite the security issues! At least you got to see what all the hype was about at long last, Michaela. And I feel better about your trip knowing Joel will eat the tentacles for you. You need that kind of support on this kind of adventure.
