Hi everyone, thanks for your great messages, its nice to here back from you guys. Today was a rest day and we went for a day trip to Annecy. A beautiful town with lots of canals and a very picturesque lake which is where the time trials for the Tour De France will be held. It is so hard to describe all the beauty. The riding has been excellent with some amazing views but also very scary in some sections for me .... I will never be afraid of riding Fox Creek ...

Hi everyone, yes its been awhile since we have update the blog but the computer connection in our hotel was crap and we were to busy sight-seeing to go elsewhere and update it. We toured the city sights including the St Peter's cathederal (another 157 steps up to the summit of the north tower)from which gave great views of the city and surounds. We were lucky in that there was a three day music festival taking place in the city center. The Swiss version of Womad...

It was then off to the canal district for happy hour, buy 1 drink for 6 euros and help yourself endlessly to a yummy selection of antipasto and salads. The streets became filled with locals enjoying a balmy night out with friends and us tourists.

It was amazing to be able to walk on the roof of the cathedral amongst the many spires and take in the sights of the surrounding city of Milan.

After getting over our jet lag, we finally hit the streets of Milan and underground railway which took us to The Duomo Catherdral. It was unbelievably large and covered in intricate stone work.
