Jolanda van den Berg is the founder of Ninos. In 1998 she opened the first of two Ninos Hotels, where all the profits are used to give 600 neglected children from Cusco a hot meal on a daily basis, a warm shower, medical and dental assistance, homework lessons and sports lessons and to support other projects of the Ninos Foundation. 125 children are fed two meals daily at this site. They come in shifts since school is either in the morning or afternoon for 6-12 years old. All kids who come to Ninos must be enrolled in school and have an adult who is responsible for them (single parent, grandparent, family friend). Education is so important!
