After arriving at the airport at 06.30 to find out our airport pick up was booking for yesterday, we had a little bartering with a taxi driver. 40 soles to our hostel. Sunbathed pictures and $11 seemed a bargain online, but hostel is seemingly basic! But nevertheless is perfect for our first night. Just off in a minute to book bus onwards. Followed by a little jaunt around Lima city centre before the jet lag sets in!

Arrived safely in madrid. Couple of San Miguels as a night cap before boarding on our 01.15 flight to Lima. Update on the other side...

Just a quick entry, had a good day at charlies - packing and re-packing. Seem to have thought of most things, whether we actually need it all is another matter. Quick supper in lewes with parents and feeling, dare I say it, ready to go!!

Lying in bed on the penultimate night before I head off. Had a quick trial pack, bags bloody heavy and still not got all my 'essentials' stowed. Last minute things whizz through my head; photocopied documents, iPod covers, how many t shirts do I need? All things for the morning...
