Coffs Harbour NSW
We have been slack with our blog over the past month or so, mainly as the time has just slipped away. We are now in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales where the rain is torrential outside and has prompted us to do this update. Over the past month we have visited Airlie Beach, Hervey Bay and Noosa (which we loved and could live there no problems) then spent a short time in Brisbane and three days in the national park at Tamborine Mountain . From there we visited the Gold Coast before crossing over into Tweed Heads, New South Wales where we visited friends of our family in Scotland who have lived in the area for 14 years.
Then on to Ballina and Byron Bay where (like on the Gold Coast) we sampled some of the problems associated with Schoolies Week (see the toilet photos) where hundreds of year twelve kids descend on the area to celebrate the end of their school lives. This coastal strip seems to be subjected to this type of behaviour each year.
We will stay in Coffs Harbour for a few days before heading south towards Sydney.
