Hello everyone,

Well not much has happened really since the last blog. We are just off to St Peterburg on the train so checking email for the last time in Europe - I'm not sure what it will be like past here!

So immediately after writing the last blog we were heading back to the hotel on the tra, but suddenly started talking about subways and we all got an urge so jumped off halfway and went on a wild goose chase for one! after about 30 mins we found one and the meatballs didnt disappoint!

The next day we went to Turku which is tiny but was actually the first capital of Finland. When we got there it was pissing it down so we didnt see much, not that there was much on offer! We found the town library and basically stayed in there for well over an hour using the free internet!!!!!

Yesterday we went to Jyvaskyla which for those architects out there is where most of Aalto's buildings can be found. The weather was better and we saw a handful of his buildings including the Aalto Museum and University buildings. After wondering for a while we went back to the hotel and then out for dinner.

Today we have just come back to Helsinki on the train and are just about to get the train to russia now.

Highlights of the trip so far: train journey from Bergen to Oslo - the scenery was just magnificent - something that has to be seen to be believed.
