Well hello there, It seems everytime I write a blog it is because I am waiting for a night bus and this time its to Lima the capital of Peru. I have done a bit of travelling since Banos visiting Cuenca which is a old colonial city then crossing the border at the greatest border crossing ever where I even had to bang on the window to wake up the border policeman(it was 4am). This was great because if you have ever travelled across a border before you will know they can be horrible places.
I stayed one night in a city called Chicalyo to break up the journey then moved onto the wonderful city of Trujillo. This is a great city with wide pedestrion streets and go cafes and shops. I also managed to get a good room which is no more than a bamboo hut built in the back garden of a colonial house. Th e buses are also great here, a little more expensive than Ecuador(not hard) but they are proper coaches like you see man utd travelling on. I gave been to see the pyramids at mosch and also another couple of archiological sites. I also witnessed the worst demonstration in history yesterday when about 20 people turned up in the central plaza to call for the local mayor to step down. They all started chanting so the police directed the local brass band to start playing on the other side of the road thus drowning out the protestors. There response wasnt to cause violance like in other countrys(english students) but they simply put there banners down and went home......Happy days.
