Stayed in Downtown Backpackers for 3 days. Shared with the girls. Visited the 'Beehive' parliament building, Mount Victoria, National museum of New Zealand Te Papa (our place), got the Interislander ferry over to the south island.

Stayed in Action Downunder YHA. Shared with the girls again. Took a walk around Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. (STUNK!!) Saw Huka Falls. Planned to do a sky dive. Was there for over 3 days and the weather was terrible so couldn't.

Stayed in Base Rotorua. Shared with the Irish girls Ruth & Emma. Visited Tamaki Maori village & was entertained with traditional song, dance, Haka, food, games & culture. A great evening. Walked to St.Faith's anglican church in Ohinemutu Maori village. Saw lake Rotorua. Walked through Kuirau local park with all the thermal steam sectioned off. Visited a set of Lord Of The Rings where all the Hobbits homes remained - Hobbiton. Saw a sheep sheerin...

Stayed at Juno Hall. Had a go at some Black Water Rafting & saw some glow worms at the same time. The water was freezing and we had a real struggle getting the wet suits on & off. Must have been mad but giggled about it after. Went around with a black rubber ring which we sat in as we got dragged around the caves in the dark!!! The Magic tour begins... Stayed at On-The-Beach. Visited a bone carving shop and made our own Mauri necklasses. The bone was from a cow shin bone. Now have beef hanging around my neck - nice!
