After arriving in Heathrow on Thursday evening we stayed in the yotel there overnight, before getting a coach down to Gatwick on Friday morning. We then hung around there for a few hours, getting something for lunch, before getting on a plane for the final time of the trip to get back home to Guernsey. The flight was great - really clear skies so we had a great view of all the islands as we finally came home. So that's it - after 268 days (including one day that we did twice because we crossed the International Date Line), and who knows how many thousands of miles, we have finally made it back to Guernsey safe and sound. We had an amazing time, doing and seeing things that we might never have had the opportunity to if we hadn't gone for so long, but we're really happy to be home and are looking forward to settling down for a bit. We are also never going to stay in a hostel again!
