We spent the last few days travelling around the far north of NZ which has been very cool. We drove all the way along 90 mile beach and then realised we couldn't get off so had to drive back again - the novelty wore off after the first hour! We then went all the way up to Cape Reinga (the most Northerly point of NZ where the Pacific meets the Tazmanian sea) in the middle of a storm - scary! There aren't many people living up here, the village we stayed in last night had one pub and one shop and nothing else! Back down to Auckland tomorrow to look for another car - and then the journey starts again. Later.
