Arrived yesterday lunch time,very busy tourist town.found car park very easily,then started walking. Had a coffee then done to the coast,walked over to the long pier and then to the end of it,plenty of souvenir shops along the pier,very nice weather,sunshine,gentle breeze,no need for a jacket. Betws-y-coed beautiful place lovely and friendly people here in Wales. Walked up a very steep hill this morning,1hour 20mins to lake Llyn Elsi,what a climb. The photo is Marg standing on a stone bridge in the centre of Betws-y-coed. The barmaid gave me 2samples of pump lager did not like,but Apple cider very nice. Now in Tewkesbury, staying at the. The Tudor House Hotel, 600 years old,photo is of our room, the floors here slope every direction and up and down, makes you think you are drunk when walking,very old feeling. Would recommend this hotel,bath room very clean.There are some very old narrow and not very high passages here. Lot of barges on River Avon. Found a good coffee shop ( very hard to find in the UK ) called Coffee One. Marg Chris

Drove down to Lynton today, very narrow,sometimes 1car wide, very busy tourist town. Went up the hill on the water powered lift,just about goes straight up. Then went to Porlock weir, another small busy town. Came back to Watchet,another sea side town,tide out,boats sitting in the mud. Also went to Selworthy, all this place had was a very old church and grave yard, and quite a few thatched roofed cottages. Chris&Marg

We are staying at Blue Anchor Bay, about 3 miles out of Mine-Head, the view is taken from our room looking towards Mine Head, there is a steam train line just down the road that runs almond the coast. Had dinner in a small 10 mins walking time,I had to duck under a couple of beams there, food was good and very busy,booked for tonight. Tides. Go out a long way here,think a fisherman waiting on the footpath for tide to come said it was a 13 metre tide. Chris&M...
