Santiago has been a real chillout for us over the Xmas period. basically we have done nothing much except soak up the sun and sit beside the pool in the hotel. Most places have been closed over the Xmas period anyway. We hate to let you all know, but the temperature here has been about 30 degrees each day. We did however take the opportunity to stock up on plenty of curries whilst here as we fouind the first and only Indian Restaurant in South America - strangley enough in our hotel! It was curry for Xmas dinner and a very civilised curry by the pool one afternoon. We have also been so lazy that we don't have a single picture of Santiago! We do however have our own 7 days of Xmas song to encapsulate our stay here, to the tune of 12 days of Xmas 7 days in Santiago 6 back to back episodes of our favourite American sitcoms each afternoon 5 days of sunbathing 4 live Premiership matches 3 indian curries 2 movies at the cinema and 1 missed New Year Eve (as we crossed the date line on 30th December on our way to New Zealand) Well that's the end of South America. Onwards and upwards to a new continent and New Zealand.
