Brad struggled to breakfast and we had a laugh as everyone remembered to wish Brad a happy birthday ....except it's tomorrow!!!! Ok ok so I got it wrong by a day.
Nurofen and antibiotics enabled Brad to join us on the bus to Ubud. Ash decided to have a home day to recoup , so only 8 of us headed off in a comfy air conditioned van. Traffic here is chronic and today seemed the worse we had experienced. Despite having shopping (education) stops at a batik factory, a silver shop and art warehouse, we all were reluctant shoppers and more concerned with surviving each toilet encounter.
Lunch however, was great. A two storey open air hut within a rice paddy -was neat. The Nasi Goreng was delicious !!!!
We all were over touring and really wanted to come back to the apartment but we kindly let the guide take us to the agreed upon tourist hot spots. A community temple, a painting shop and the best was a Balinese home. The tour company must get a kick back from stopping at these places.
Nat's family left tonight. We felt sad to see them go as we have enjoyed our time together We have been in a Greys anatomy tv fest since this afternoon and even had to order cocktails by room service. Poor us:). Sadly the Greys anatomy disc is now malfunctioning and we are now sitting thru Jackass 3. New all time low for me in tv viewing.
Nothing special planned for the next two days, shopping, eating and chillin'.
