More on Hampi...

Absolutely loving this place so far... today I got up extra early at 7am to go down to the river to watch the elephant be washed and bathed... was lovely. also met a local indian boy and had morning chai(tea) with him. After a chat he told me he would show us the way to monkey temple so that afternoon we got some motorbikes and made our way. The views were amazing but crazy monkeys everywhere... was tough as we had to climb 576 steps to reach the top but was 100% worth it. On the way back my indian friend took us the scenic route across hampi... we saw a wild camel, wild bears, baby snake, way cute puppies, local villages which really gave you a feel for Hampi and its culture. Before arriving back to our guesthouse we stopped by the lake and took a swim was lush and we left feeling refreshed. Overall another awesome day in Hampi... Mumbai on monday which will definitley be a contrast!!
