We got on the bus to Barioloche, and quickly realized that the entire bus was filled with tourists. I don't know if there was a single Argentinian on the bus other than the staff! Best bus we have been on so far without a doubt, but also more expensive. We had such a fabulous supper on the bus too! Really tender roast beef, roasted potatoes, and roasted carrots!!! So delicious!!! (better than pizza with raw hot dogs!!) Barioloche is so similar to Banff it's funny. It is a South American Banff. Same chalet style buildings, chocolate shops, outdoor gear, expensive clothing, etc. but with a central square, complete with a clock tower and a statue. The flowers here are just gorgeous. The mountains here are quite low but pretty. More like a costal range. Sierra is having some trouble with her daily limit at the bank. It is set quite low, so she can't take out more than 1000 pesos each day (100 Canadian) we will try to call the bank later today. She doesn't seem to be able to do a cash advance on her visa card the way I can either. We are heading into the deep south of Argentina- quite a remote area, and apparently there is 1 ATM there which is frequently out of money for up to a week at a time. We may have to get creative to get plenty of cash before we head that direction!! Good thing there are 2 of us! Traveling by bus is old hat for us now. It's nice to feel like you know how things work, and how to negotiate a process that is new. As soon as we get on the bus we set up our "bus nest", organize all our slips of paper we are given for luggage claims, etc etc. it's funny watching people who look like we did at the beginning, trying to figure out what all the little papers were meant for, not keeping track of tiny slips of paper that are important, etc. 11 hours to Puerto Madryn. This will be a shorter ride than most.
