The Rainbow Warrior Greenpeace boat was sunk off the cape of Mangenui by the French secret service back in the day (1984 I think). The top of this mound has a tribute to the ship, made around the propellor. The wreck now sits out in the bay, a home for divers looking for thrills. I opted against that...creepy.
